Artist Talk - Grafton Regional Gallery Sat 12th feb


Tomorrow barratt galleries director Julie Barratt will give a floortalk of The Hankie Project which opened at Grafton Regional Gallery last week. Julie will give an overview of the project before introducing the works and talking about specific pieces in the exhibition. Thanks again to everyone that contributed to the project.

Second exhibition for the Hanky Project - Grafton regional gallery


The second exhibition for the hankie project will open at grafton regional gallery on the 26th January. There will also be a public program alongside the exhibition and I will post more details as they come to hand. This second exhibition in a major regional gallery is very exciting and I look forward to hearing feedback from anyone who is able t o attend the opening as I am currently in kathmandu.

A new collaborative hanky book work. Design, concept and images by Julie Barratt, text by Virginia Barratt and book binding by Monica Oppen.
Techniques employed in the work include monoprints, typewritten text using an Olivetti typewriter, shellac and hand stamped lettering

Catalogue at last!!

The catalogue is now available on DVD for $10.00. Thank you so much to Carolyne Lewis for her wonderful work in designing this beautiful catalogue full of lovely photos and stories. A wonderful compilation to keep as a memento of the show. Please email me at the gallery for your copy and I can send it out to you.

Catalogue update

Just checking in to say that the catalogue is getting close to being cpmplete and hopefully will be available o DVD next week. Much bigger task than was frist anticipated but we wanted to do it well so it will be worth the wait!!
